That's a Wrap on the 2024 Regular Season

Published on 24 September 2024 at 21:45

As I took a necessary day off on Tuesday, I watched as pitchers were being swapped, players were being scratched (it's been a very itchy league this week), weather delay, a hurricane coming through the south east, who's resting players (like the Cubs on Monday night...grrr), who's pulling pitchers early and, ironically, it seems that I have the least amount of time available when I'd need the most amount of time to be entirely on top of these things.

Having to much respect for the work and the readers to half ass it and post inaccurate information, regretfully, I've decided to put a cap on the 2024 regular season. There's far too much going on around me this week that's not baseball related. The stats are always available to be analyzed. The information necessary to put them into context this week (see first paragraph) is a bit harder to find and keep track of than normal.

The entire season boiled  down to  a hot three week stretch after the All Star break. If you followed only from the end of July through the middle of August, congratulations, you maxed out. Though, that would mean you weren't reading this congratulatory message and it was more about the information than the recommendations. Many readers found ways to take advantage of the information that I did not.  I'm happy to know I didn't ruin people's seasons at least.

Onto the last order of business now. I'm not closing up shop. I fully intend to return next week for post-season content and possibly even a playoff preview on Monday.

Thank you to everyone who's read and supported. Good luck the final week of the season and let's crush the post-season.
