Last season, I utilized the brand new bat speed metric in testing at Statcast at the time to inform my HR derby wagering considerations, which led me to Julio Rodriguez who hit the most home runs (41) in the first round.
Using the same methods this year, I think Gunnar Henderson and Bobby Witt Jr. may offer best values and emphasize any wagers that would favor them. Both are +500 to have the most HRs in the 1st round, which is where the bat speed metric may have the most value. These are just guesses however.
